Our Guidelines for Guest Posting

We’re thrilled to accept guest posts! However, we prioritize quality over quantity. This means we won’t publish average content readily available elsewhere online.

Before submitting, please take some time to review this entire page. It details the kind of content we seek and the guest posting process.

Essential things for every guest post

High-Quality Content:

  • This is the most important factor. The website owner is allowing you to publish on their platform because they believe your content will be valuable to their audience. Write informative, well-researched, and engaging content that provides value to the reader.

Structure your content:

  • Use headers, subheaders, and bullet points to break up your text and make it easy to read.

Originality:

  • Ensure your content is plagiarism-free. There are many free plagiarism checking tools available online.

Visuals:

  • Include relevant blog feature images, infographics, or videos to break up your text and make your content more visually appealing.

Author Bio:

  • Include a short author bio at the end of your guest post. This is your chance to tell the reader a little bit about yourself and your website.

What we won’t accept

Low-quality content:

  • Anything poorly written, with factual errors, or lacking in-depth information won’t be accepted.

Duplicate content:

  • Replicated content from your own blog or elsewhere is strictly against the rules.

Thin content:

  • Articles that are very short and lack substance won’t be considered.

Off-topic content:

  • Guest posts need to be relevant to Blog Bursts’ niche and target audience.

Overly promotional content:

  • Focus on providing value, not just selling your products or services.

Hate speech or offensive content:

  • Anything discriminatory, hateful, or vulgar will be rejected.

Spammy content:

  • Keyword stuffing or excessive self-promotion isn’t welcome.

Copyright infringement:

  • Content containing copyrighted material without permission won’t be accepted.

Link Guidelines

Focus on Value:

Link to relevant sources:

  • Links should support your content and provide additional value to the reader. For example, if you mention a statistic, link to the research study where you found it.

Relevant anchor text:

  • Use anchor text that accurately describes the linked content. Avoid generic phrases like “click here” or “learn more.”

Balance and Context:

Limited promotional links:

  • While a link to your website in the author bio is expected, avoid excessive self-promotion within the content itself.

Maintain a natural flow:

  • Links should be integrated seamlessly into the text, not randomly inserted.

Technical:

Dofollow vs. Nofollow links:

  • It’s uncertain whether we allow dofollow links (which pass on  SEO value) in guest posts. Some blogs use nofollow links (which don’t pass SEO value) to prevent guest posters from manipulating search rankings.

Target high-quality sites:

  • If you’re allowed to include external links, focus on linking to reputable websites relevant to your topic.

Here are some additional things to consider:

Anchor text:

  • The text you click on to follow a link is called anchor text. It should be descriptive and relevant to the linked content.

Broken links:

  • Make sure all your links are functional before submitting your guest post.
