1. Ban Jhakri Water Fall

Ban jhakri Water Fall is a prime tourist attraction in Gangtok. It is surrounded by lush forests that render a soul-soothing peace and calm. The waterfall looks ethereal and one cannot stop praising the bounties and magic of Mother Nature. The continuous makes a beautiful pond and just watching it heals you. The height of the waterfall is around 70 ft. Ban jhakri waterfall has also a park where you can sit and relax. The park also celebrates the Shmaic tradition of Sikkim. In fact, the word, Ban Jhakri means forest healer who used to live here and worship the spirits who resided in caves.

2. Seven Sister Waterfall

Seven Sister Waterfall is a scenic waterfall that you will spot along the National Highway leading to North Sikkim. This waterfall is approximately 32 kilometers away from the capital city Gangtok. A beautiful string of seven sleek waterfalls cascading side by side creates a sight to behold. The milky-white water gushing down brings the mind to a state of serenity and tranquillity. Seven Sister Waterfall is hands down, one of the most instagrammable spots in Sikkim. It is one of the favourite spots for photographers, vloggers, and picnickers. During the monsoon season, the rainwater replenishes the waterfalls. During the months from May to July, the waterfalls are more visible, as rainwater continues to nourish them.

3. Kanchenjunga Waterfalls

Watching this waterfall soothes the tired eyes and refreshes the mind. Kanchenjunga Waterfall is one of the highest  waterfalls in all of Sikkim. The sound of the waterfall can instantly freshen up an irritable mood. From the main road, climb some stairs to reach the waterfall. There is a small bridge on which you can stand and click photos of the waterfall from a closer distance. There are small eateries near the waterfall selling tea, momo, maggie, etc, that you can enjoy post sightseeing.

4. Phamrong Falls

Phamrong falls is a stunning waterfall just 7 km from Yuksom in West Sikkim and it is 35 km from Pelling. This waterfall is set in between lush forested hills. The milky white colour of the waterfall stands in sharp contrast to the dark green emerald tones of the forest. It cascades over boulders and rocky terrain to form a pond. A bridge nearby gives a fascinating view of the mountains. From this vantage point, you can click good photos of this waterfall. Remember to wear good hiking shoes as you will have to climb 200 steps to reach the viewpoint. This viewpoint allows you to capture the whole waterfall, right from its starting point to the end. The tourism department here is also planning to build an eatery or small shack for tourists to enjoy snacks and tea.

5. Kyongnosla Waterfall

Before you plan to head out for Kyongnosla waterfall, just know that the surrounding area is cold. The cool winds blowing around the waterfall will make you chilly, so wear some warm clothes or carry a jacket. As the name suggests, Kyongnosla is located in none other than the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary. The waters of Kyongnosla cascades from a height of 10,400 ft. painting a breathtaking view. The water makes its way down through mountains and nourishes the flora and fauna. You will feel the oneness of nature and oneness with nature when you visit Kyongnosla Waterfall. You can take a nature walk around, do some photography, or spread a mat and do picnicking.

6. Rimbi Waterfall

Another beautiful waterfall to spot on your Sikkim trip is the Rimbi waterfall. The waterfall is accessible and less crowded than one would expect, which honestly is great. You can click so many beautiful photos without random strangers photobombing. Usually, tourists are seen swimming in the pool formed by Rimbi waterfall. Some engage in fishing, while others simply stick around for picnicking.
